His Super and his scarf both damage everything around him where he lands, with a direct hit doing double.

Star Power
Fisticuffs

He heals for noticeably more of the damage each punch deals, which is his entire sustain model.

Gadget
Let's Fly
18s cooldown

Throws his scarf and jumps behind whatever it catches, whether that is a brawler or a wall.

Gadget
Hardcore
17s cooldown

After using his Super his Super charge rate and reload speed both rise, so one jump feeds the next.

Playing Edgar

reviewed 19 Jul 2026

An assassin with a two-tile punch that heals him, and a jump that charges by itself whether he has fought anyone or not.

Early game

Do nothing for the first thirty seconds; his Super charges passively, and an Edgar without a jump has a two-tile attack and no way to close.

Positioning

Behind terrain within jump range of the enemy backline, waiting for their tank to be pulled out of position rather than jumping the tank itself.

Using your Super

The jump goes over walls, so land behind their line on the brawler with the smallest health pool, not in the middle of three of them where lifesteal cannot keep up.

Common mistakes

  • Jumping the first enemy he sees rather than the one his team can also shoot
  • Landing on a tank, where his punches heal him slower than the tank removes him
  • Chasing a fleeing target past their team instead of taking the kill and leaving
  • Showdown, where his Super fills on its own and he arrives at fights already in progress
  • Against isolated marksmen, who cannot survive the landing plus his punch rate
  • Cluttered maps where he can approach without being shot on the way

By mode

Solo Showdown

A passive Super means he can third-party every fight on the map.

Knockout

He is far stronger in the second round, when the enemy has already spent gadgets.
