Three kinds of information

Catalog records describe game entities and official artwork. Editorial guides explain decisions and carry a byline and review date. Measured statistics come from our collected battle logs and carry their sample and computation time. We keep those categories distinct: an equipment recommendation is not presented as a measured equipment win rate.

Sources and attribution

We prefer Supercell's official API and announcements for game changes. We link the original announcement beside structured update summaries. The parser records changes it can identify, including before/after values and scoped maintenance sections; it does not publish a copied article or invent a missing value. A published announcement date is not automatically treated as the time a patch became playable.

Automated reports

Brawlest Data Desk reports are generated by deterministic software from our own aggregate observations. No language-model subscription is needed. Each report identifies its measurement windows, patch boundary, sample sizes, limitations, and a saved JSON evidence snapshot. These reports do not claim a person played or reviewed the featured brawlers.

The publisher checks data freshness, sufficient samples in both comparison windows, a meaningful movement, uncertainty intervals, and topic repetition. It allows at most one new report every 48 hours and avoids returning to the same lead brawler for 14 days. If the evidence is weak, stale, or repetitive, it publishes nothing. A calendar is a check-in schedule, not a quota.

What an automated comparison can tell you

A change in observed results can justify looking at a brawler's current mode and matchup data. It cannot establish that a patch caused the movement. Changes in player selection, map rotation, skill, equipment, and repeated observations can all affect the sample. Published intervals describe sampling uncertainty under the stated model; they do not remove collection bias or establish a causal effect.

Quality before indexing

Thin catalog details remain accessible for browsing but are excluded from our search sitemap and manual ad placements. Update records need useful structured changes to qualify for indexing. Drafts, retired articles, and pages with withheld recommendations are not promoted as complete advice. We do not generate doorway pages or swap keywords into otherwise identical guides.

Corrections and maintenance

Substantive article revisions update the revision date. Rechecking an unchanged source does not make an article newly published. Pipeline failures, stale statistics, and unrecognised balance announcements trigger operational checks. When a source cannot establish an effective patch date, an operator must verify it before the boundary changes.
