Abilities

Star Power
Super Bouncy

Any bullet that has bounced off a wall deals extra damage, which rewards shooting the wall rather than the player.

Star Power
Robo Retreat

Below two fifths health his movement speed jumps sharply, and drops back to normal as soon as he heals above it.

Gadget
Multiball Launcher
19s cooldown

Drops a vending machine he can bank shots off. When it is destroyed it sprays bouncing bullets in every direction around it.

Gadget
Multiball
17s cooldown
Hypercharge
Trick Shot King
+35% stats while active

The Super keeps ricocheting far longer than normal, so a volley fired into a corridor works its way down the whole thing.

A range is the trophy count Rico was actually on when each match was played, so switching it changes which matches are counted — never how strong the evidence has to be.

How to counter Rico

Playing Rico

reviewed 19 Jul 2026

A bullet-bouncing damage dealer who is mediocre in the open and genuinely oppressive in a corridor.

Early game

Find the corridor on your side of the map and start suppressing it; Rico wants a fixed angle he can hold, not a roaming role.

Positioning

Stand where a wall is beside or behind the enemy, not beside you — his damage comes from the rebound, so the geometry has to work for him.

Using your Super

The Super is a longer burst of the same bouncing bullets, so fire it down a corridor rather than at an open field where the bounces never happen.

Common mistakes

  • Playing him on open maps where his bullets never bounce and he is just a worse Colt
  • Aiming directly at enemies instead of at the wall next to them
  • Standing in the corridor he is suppressing, which lets a tank walk him down
  • Walled maps where every shot ricochets into a target that thought it was behind cover
  • Narrow chokes, where the bounces hit even when the direct line is blocked
  • Against brawlers backed into a corner, who cannot avoid the rebound

By mode

Hot Zone

A corridor into the zone becomes uncrossable when he is holding it.

Heist

Bank shots into the safe from behind a wall the defenders cannot shoot through.
