Abilities

Star Power
First Bash

With a full magazine, the first enemy he hits fills his rage bar far faster than a normal hit would.

Star Power
Mad As Heck

His reload speed climbs as his rage climbs, so a long fight makes him progressively faster.

Gadget
Chill Pill
13s cooldown

Spends the rage meter to heal, restoring more the fuller the bar was at the moment he popped it.

Gadget
Rotten Banana
8s cooldown

Trades a slice of his current health for an instant chunk of rage, so he can start a fight already angry.

Hypercharge
Rat King
+35% stats while active

His Super releases twice as many rats, so one wave can cover both a lane and its flank.

How to counter Ash

Playing Ash

reviewed 19 Jul 2026

A 5,900-health tank who sweeps with a broom at close range, gets faster as he takes damage, and spawns rats that fight for him.

Early game

Take the chip he is offered instead of avoiding it; his swing speed comes from being hit, so a cautious Ash is a slow one.

Positioning

At the front of a choke with cover behind him, close enough that his 4.67-tile sweep reaches and near enough to the rats that they are fighting the same target.

Using your Super

The rats are pressure rather than burst, so release them onto the objective or onto a brawler holding a lane, not onto someone who is about to die anyway.

Common mistakes

  • Walking away from damage to stay healthy, which removes the rage his kit runs on
  • Sending rats at a fleeing enemy instead of at the point his team is contesting
  • Committing across open ground at 720 speed with nothing to close the last tiles
  • Cluttered maps where he can cross to the fight while collecting rage on the way
  • Brawl Ball, where a large body in the goal mouth is genuinely hard to move
  • Long fights, since his rage and his rats both accumulate rather than burst

By mode

Brawl Ball

He absorbs a goal-mouth scramble better than almost anything on the roster.

Hot Zone

Rats in the circle contest it even while he is walking back from a death.
