How to counter Eve

Playing Eve

reviewed 19 Jul 2026

A damage dealer who fires slow eggs at nine tiles, walks across water, and hatches a swarm that chases enemies on its own.

Early game

Chip with eggs from range to get the first hatchlings out; the swarm is her pressure, and everything before it exists is a slow three-egg poke.

Positioning

Behind her frontline and near water where possible, since her eggs travel slowly enough to dodge and she has 3,100 health if anyone reaches her.

Using your Super

The hatchlings track whoever they are released at, so send them at a brawler pinned in a fight rather than at one standing free with a clear lane out.

Common mistakes

  • Sending the swarm at a brawler with an area attack that deletes all of it instantly
  • Aiming eggs at where an enemy stands rather than where they are walking
  • Fighting at close range, where slow eggs and a small health pool lose every trade
  • Showdown maps with water, where she takes routes nobody else can
  • Modes with a fixed objective the hatchlings will walk to unattended
  • Against brawlers with no area attack to clear the swarm

By mode

Solo Showdown

Water routes let her open crates on the far side of the map unopposed.

Gem Grab

Hatchlings on the mine contest it even when she has been pushed off.
