How to counter Meg

Playing Meg

reviewed 19 Jul 2026

A 2,400-health brawler who builds a 3,700-health mecha, fights in it until it breaks, then falls back out and starts again.

Early game

Chip safely at nine tiles until the mecha is charged; a base-form Meg who trades early is a base-form Meg who dies before she has a shell.

Positioning

Far back in base form and at the front in the mecha, and she has to consciously switch between the two rather than playing one distance all match.

Using your Super

The mecha is not an escape and not a burst, it is a shift into a different brawler, so enter it before a fight starts rather than as an answer to losing one.

Common mistakes

  • Entering the mecha at low charge and losing it before it has done anything
  • Playing the base form like a tank because the mecha is available
  • Standing in the open after the mecha breaks, with 2,400 health and no cover behind her
  • Long team fights where the mecha gets to attack for its full duration
  • Modes with a fixed point she can hold in the shell and contest without it
  • Against comps with no burst big enough to break the mecha in one window

By mode

Gem Grab

The mecha contests the mine and the base form collects behind it.

Knockout

Losing the mecha early in a round usually loses the round outright.
