Abilities

Star Power
Toss Up

At top speed he knocks enemies into the air on contact, so the collision itself becomes crowd control.

Star Power
Unstoppaball

Activating his Super leaves him immune to stuns, slows and knockbacks for a second.

Gadget
Oil Change
15s cooldown

Grants a shield sized by how fast he is currently moving, so it is worth most at top speed.

Gadget
Bouncy Ball
20s cooldown

Jumps to a chosen spot, damaging and breaking terrain on landing, but he loses all his built-up speed.

Hypercharge
Bowling Bolt
+30% stats while active

His Super destroys the obstacles it touches, so the lane he is racing down clears itself.

Playing Bolt

reviewed 19 Jul 2026

A 5,000-health tank at 540 movement speed, the slowest on the roster, who commits to a position and stays there.

Early game

Walk to the position he intends to hold and start holding it, because at 540 speed any rotation costs more time than the fight will last.

Positioning

On the objective rather than near it, since he cannot arrive late and cannot leave early; where he stands at the start is roughly where he stays.

Using your Super

The Super is what turns a stationary body into a moving one, so spend it on the push rather than on defending ground he was already holding.

Common mistakes

  • Rotating across the map and arriving after the fight has ended
  • Chasing a fleeing brawler he has no chance of catching
  • Standing away from cover with a 2.2-second reload and no way to disengage
  • Modes with one fixed point he can park on for the whole match
  • Defensive setups where he never has to cross the map
  • Chokes, where a body that will not move is exactly what is needed

By mode

Hot Zone

A brawler who never leaves the circle is worth more than one who rotates well.

Heist

He can hold a lane in front of his own safe indefinitely without needing to move.
