Loadouts
2Stage climberRecommended build
Longer matches where he has time to reach his final stage and then hold it.
Star PowerPumping Uphis kit is a staircase, and arriving at the top sooner is worth more than any single improvement on the way
GadgetSnappy Shootingcovers the opening minute when he is at his weakest stage and least able to trade
Gear
Damagehis volley grows with each stage, so the bonus grows with it
Gear
Reload Speedprogress is measured in hits landed, not time
HyperchargeRecall of Dutya finished Clancy with an extra gear is very hard to remove
Safe climberRecommended build
Against divers who will punish him before he has finished climbing.
Star PowerReconhe has to land hits to progress, and landing them from a range where nothing answers is the safe way to do it
GadgetTactical Retreatthe escape that keeps a fully upgraded Clancy on the map
Gear
Healthdying resets nothing but wastes the whole climb
Gear
Speedhis 2-second reload means walking is his defence
How to play it
Cautiously at stage one and confidently at stage three, and the mistake is playing the early Clancy like the late one.
The wide volley is his fight-winner once he is upgraded, so hold it for a real engagement rather than spending it to chip a target at maximum range.
Common mistakes
- Trading aggressively at his first stage, where he loses almost every exchange
- Dying repeatedly early and never reaching the version of him that is dangerous
- Playing the finished Clancy as cautiously as the starting one
Reviewed recommendations, not win rates: Brawl Stars never reports which loadout a player had equipped in a match, so nobody can measure one.
