How to get Gems in Brawl Stars
The real ways to earn Gems are a short list, they are all slow, and every “free Gems” generator promising a shortcut is a scam after your account.
Gems buy almost everything worth having: the reward track, most skins, the good offers in the shop. So every new player asks how to get more, and the real answer is slower than anyone likes. The game meters Gems on purpose. You earn a trickle for playing, and it sells you the rest.
Where Gems come from
There are only four honest sources, and not one of them is a tap you can leave running. Here they are, with the catch on each.

That is the whole economy. For a free-to-play account it means Gems arrive in lumps, not a steady drip. You climb a stretch of Trophy Road, get a handful, spend a while with none, then climb again. You cannot change how fast they come. You can only be smart about what you do with them.
The reward track pays you back
One purchase behaves a little like a Gem source, and it is the paid reward track. It costs Gems to unlock, then gives Gems back among its rewards as you work through the tiers. Finish it most seasons and a big chunk of that cost returns, so each new season is partly paid for by the last. It is not free, and you do have to reach the end, but it is the only loop in the game where spending Gems roughly funds itself. For anyone who plays regularly it is a better first buy than any skin.
No generator, code or website can make Gems appear. Every one that claims to is trying to take your account, not fill it.
Why the “free Gems” sites are scams
Search for free Gems and most of what you find runs the same trick. A site asks for your player tag, which is public and harmless, so handing it over feels fine. Then it asks you to “verify” by logging in, taking a survey, or installing something. The tag was bait. The login is the theft: type your account details into anything that is not the game or an official Supercell screen, and the account is gone. Supercell has never handed out Gems for logging in elsewhere, watching an advert, or typing a code from some other page.
Two real things get dressed up as this and should not be confused with it. A Supercell ID is genuine account security, worth setting up, and it never asks you to log in on an outside page. Creator codes are real too, but they send a slice of a purchase you were already going to make to a creator you pick. That supports someone with money you were spending anyway. It is not free Gems, whatever the page calls it.
Spending them so they last
- Fund the reward track before anything else. It is the one buy that pays part of itself back and spreads value across a whole season.
- Skip skins early. A skin changes nothing about how a brawler plays, and it costs the same Gems that would have funded a season of progress. Buy them later, from spare Gems, for brawlers you actually play.
- Never spend Gems on anything Gold or Coins already buy. That is the one clearly bad trade in the shop.
- Save toward one thing you will use for months, not three you will forget in a week.
Is there any legit way to get free Gems?
Only the in-game ones: Trophy Road milestones, the odd event reward, and the Gems the paid reward track gives back as you finish it. All slow, and most run out. Nothing outside the game hands them over, because nothing outside the game can.
Are Gem generators safe?
No. They run from a plain waste of time to outright account theft, and the ones that make you log in are the theft. Sharing your player tag costs you nothing. Handing over your login hands over everything.
Is the reward track worth the Gems?
If you play enough to finish it, yes. It gives back most of its own cost and spreads rewards across the season instead of one skin. If you play rarely and would not complete it, put the Gems toward a one-off you will actually use.
